“Pera Mast’Antuon” is a very small pear, round, with a short stalk. The color is yellowish with brown dotting and scratches, its pulp is soft with a strong scent. It ripens in the month of November and is cultivated in plants characterized by classic vase forms of culture. Although Pera Mastrantuono can be eaten fresh it is also perfect for transformation: it is a privileged ingredient when used in preserves or it can be used in the confectionary industry stuffed with ricotta and covered in chocolate.
