Traditions & Folklore

All year Agerola dons the colours of its tradition, preserving its simple and genuine ancient memories. The whole town participates actively to make it an enchanting real scenery. Of particular interest, in fact, are the Good Friday's procession, a live Nativity scene and the descent of the comet for the Epiphany.

These traditional festivities while still preserving the sanctity of the event, ritualize with passionate zeal the sacred festivities, both for patron saints such as St. Anthony, St. Gregory .... but also celebrate the fruits of mother earth and the work of the fields, enriching it with sounds, music and colours of the most genuine folklore performances.
